Stratton Vermont

Stratton is the epitome of a full-service ski resort. Stratton installed the first high-speed, six-seat detachable chair in 1995 and it offers a profusion of fun-packed activities and events for everyone in the family. Stratton is committed to superior snowmaking and grooming but there is plenty of raw hillside as well. Terrain gardens, carving parks, over 70 acres of glades, bumps, playgrounds and various hits are scattered across the resort. It's good place for beginners and intermediates because there are a lot of ways to have a leisurely cruise from top to bottom. Stratton has a much lower than average fraction of advanced and expert slopes and a much higher than average proportion of beginner and intermediate trails. The stunning beauty of the Vermont mountaintops and the really great trails are great attractions for many folks. The good snow here gets exceptionally deep, 15 feet per season, and that is one of the finest highlights of this resort.

Bringing a new school twist to old school terrain, riders will discover natural freestyle features in select gladed areas. Plus, Stratton’s 100+ acre network opens up thanks to thinning and pruning of underbrush in select areas for the upcoming season.

Stratton does not have just one terrain park, it has four. The variety of features in the parks is amazing, and they regularly rank in the top ten terrain parks in the country. This is a great place to go, especially if you are a terrain park junkie looking for some flowing jumps and steezy rails.

Sixteen lifts, including four high-speed six-passenger lifts, and the enclosed 12-passenger summit gondola are strategically placed to get skiers where they want to be quickly and efficiently. If you hate 15 min lift lines, then Stratton is for you.
